If you love fluffy dogs, you gotta love the Chow Chow, those beautiful dogs known for their distinct thick puffy coats of fur.
But one Chow Chow has really stood out and become a star, thanks to his uncanny resemblance to a different animal.
Meet Chowder:
Chowder, from Manila, the Philippines, looks remarkably like a bear, so much so that he’s become famous as “Chowder the Bear Dog.”
Despite the resemblance, this 6-year-old is far from ferocious—he’s just a good friendly dog.
Although just like a bear, you might have to keep him away from your food:
People can’t get enough of this big furball. He’s quite a celebrity online with over 400,000 Instagram followers.
And he did it without even trying—his owners say they never expected their dog to make it big.
“We didn’t see it coming at all,” Chowder’s owner told ABC News. “We did not make him an Instagram and Facebook with the intent of making him ‘famous.'”
“We really just wanted to show the world how cute our dog was and hey, I think a lot of people agree.”
