It’s shocking to see the level of abuse that animals have to endure at the hands of humans.
To look at a tiny kitten we can’t imagine wanting to hurt that animal in any way but unfortunately there are sick people out there that do.
A 12-week-old kitten was left fighting for his life after a violent attack in Melbourne, Australia.
He suffered a head injury, facial injuries and two broken legs in the horrific incident.
He had been left for dead when he was finally surrendered and handed over to Petstock Vet where he underwent emergency surgery.
The kitten, called Wee Rupert, is now recovering in ICU at Peninsula Vet Hospital but still requires a further surgeries costing $2,800.
A fundraiser set up to help fund Wee Rupert’s medical costs says: “Wee Rupert has been through far too much for a 12-week-old kitten.
“Let’s show this little boy he deserves a life without abuse and support his long road to recovery.
“Monday will not be his last surgery and he may need an amputation down the line and we are unsure of the lasting effects of his abuse.”
Hundreds have already donated to his fundraiser and vets are delighted with his progress so far.
It seems Wee Rupert was given away for free to a household where he ended up in this horrific state.
I hope the person responsible is never allowed to keep animals again and are punished for their crimes against this kitten.
Let’s hope Wee Rupert continues to bounce back from this horrific abuse and a forever home can be found for him where he gets all the love he deserves. Please share
