It’s always inspiring to see unlikely friendships form between different animals. Sometimes animals can form real lifelong bonds…. even when they’re from totally different worlds.
That’s the case for Gunner and Delta, whose friendship has warmed hearts across the internet.
The Dolphin Research Center is a marine life sanctuary in Florida that provides rescue and rehabilitation to dolphins. One of their residents, Delta, has made a very special friend over the years: a dog named Gunner.
According to the center, the two animals have been lifelong friends: they first met when Gunner was just an 8-week-old puppy and Delta was 7-years-old.
Gunner and Delta are now 7 and 10 years old, respectively, but they’re still going strong and recently reunited on the sanctuary’s lifestream.
Their story went viral after being posted by the popular WeRateDogs Twitter account.
People fell in love with the heartwarming animal duo. They always seem to recognize and lovingly greet each other every time they’re together.
The center said that they are pet-friendly and staff members often bring their dogs to visit.
What an adorable friendship! We hope these two stay best buddies for years to come. Share this adorable story!
