We value the time we can spend with them but when they get sick we do all we can to help them.
Sadly the cost of treating our animals can be high and not all families can manage these expenses especially during these troubled times when many of us are out of work.
For one woman from Queretaro, Mexico, her sick dog has meant doing something she never thought she’d have to do.
Carol has had her precious pooch Becky since she was 2, but now the 9-year-old dog has been diagnosed with cancer. The cost of treating Becky will be high so Becky is selling homemade ice cream to help fund her treatment.
A post on Facebook read: “My name is Becky, I am 9 years old, I am a very happy and loving dog. Unfortunately, I was recently diagnosed with Cancer of my mammary glands.
“I will be in treatment for a few months to later undergo surgery, the expenses are high so my family and I are selling rich homemade ice pops of different flavors”
Almost 2,000 people have shared the post of sweet Becky and her appeal for funds to help pay for her treatment.
Let’s hope enough money can be raised to save this sweet dog.
