We love seeing friendships between animals of different species. Sometimes even animals who are completely different can get along like equals.
That’s what one heartwarming video shows, as a cat shares a meal with a bunch of farm cows, who seem to accept him as one of the herd.
TikTok user @cassialuxe is the owner of a black cat named Trevor. Trevor also shares his home with some much bigger animals: a herd of cows.
Apparently the cat used to have some hesitancy about the bovines, but his owner wrote in a July 13 TikTok that he was “smashing his fear of cows.”
In fact, Trevor and the cows formed such an instant bond that they actually shared a meal, with the cows letting Trevor share in their bucket of grass. The owner joked that it was like the cows accept him as “the third of this herd.”
Their shared meal has seemingly become a regular thing. In another video — which has gone viral with over 600,000 views on the site — shows this blended family chowing down on grass together.
People on TikTok loved the heartwarming moment between the animals.
“They’re besties…they sharing food,” one comment reads.
“A family that eats together stays furever,” another wrote.
“Just determined to be part of the gang!🥰🤣 And is,” another wrote.
While grass isn’t a main source of food for cats as it is for cows, many cats enjoy eating grass. As long as the grass isn’t treated with pesticides, grass is safe for them to eat in moderation and can even help with digestion.
No word on whether Trevor has been sharing his cat food with the cows 😸
What sweet videos! We’re glad to see Trevor got over his fear of cows and now he’s just one of the herd! 😸🐮
