In a field in Korat, north eastern Thailand, a farmer noticed his dog digging in the dirt.
On a closer inspection he made a gruesome discovery: a newborn baby had been buried in the dirt.
The man’s three-legged dog Ping Pong made the discovery and thanks to him the newborn is now recovering in hospital.
Now Ping Pong. the three-legged dog, is making headlines all over the world for his heroic actions.
Ping Pong was hit by a car and lost the use of one of his legs.
“But I kept him because he’s so loyal and obedient, and always helps me out when I go into the fields to tend to my cattle,” his owner farmer Usa Nisaika, 41, told Khaosod news site.
He said his dog is loved by the entire village but now he is loved around the world.

Noticed the infant’s tiny leg
A newborn baby was buried alive by his 15-year-old mother, writes The Epoch Times .
Thankfully he was saved after Ping Pong the dog was spotted by farmers sniffing a particular spot in a cassava field.
The dog found the place where the boy was buried and began digging.
Usa went over to look and noticed the infant’s tiny leg poking up from the earth.

The two then started digging and uncovered the baby, a 5.2lb baby boy with no serious injuries.
How long the newborn baby had been lying there is unclear, but he was alive.
Nakhon Ratchasima governor Wichian Chantharanothai and Trairat Witthayanumart, the chief of the Chumpuang district, said they have visited the infant in hospital and he is healthy. according to the Daily Mail.
Teenage mother feared beating
A 15-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder after confessing to burying the baby, according to Khaosod news.
The teen told police she was afraid her father would beat her for getting pregnant. The mother’s family has requested to take the baby under their care, according to the news site.

According to the Daily Mail Governor Wichian added: “Police officers are preparing to prosecute the mother but she is also a child and we must consider her mind and be professional. It is important that she is nurtured and treated fairly.”
Thousands have praised the actions of Ping Pong the dog on social media and he is now enjoying hero status in his local village.
“Everybody in the village is amazed by what he has done now. He is a hero because he saved the life of the baby,” added owner Usa, according to The Epoch Times .
Dogs help save so many lives and here a three-legged dog is no exception. Thank goodness for Ping Pong.
