If you are no longer able to care for a dog, there are plenty of options available to pet owners and none of them involve abandoning your four-legged friend.
On Monday morning, a woman witnessed an upsetting scene that resulted in the community’s animal control officer publicly condemning a now former dog owner.
According to WLBT, a woman observed someone dump furniture on a road in Brookhaven, Mississippi. In addition to leaving a chair and television behind, the unidentified person left behind a dog.
Sharon Norton, an animal control officer for Brookhaven Police Department, responded to the woman’s call for help.

When Sharon tried to get the malnourished puppy off the chair, she said it wouldn’t budge.

“To the person that dumped this chair, your puppy was waiting for you to come back,,slowly starving to death because it was afraid to leave the chair to find food,” she wrote on Facebook. “Shame on you for doing this to this puppy.. but one day Karma will meet up with you.”
The abandoned puppy will reportedly receive all the necessary care before it goes to an animal shelter in hopes of finding a forever home.
This makes me so upset!
How could someone dump a puppy out like it’s trash?!
