For those of us who own cats we’re used to them disappearing, sometimes for days on end.
But if our dogs go missing it can be an extremely worrying time as they’re not always guaranteed to return.
One dog owner was left distraught after fireworks frightened his 16-year-old schnauzer dog away.
What he didn’t realize is that his four-legged friend had a plan.

“I lost her a few miles from my house, she couldn’t find my house so she ended up walking four or five times as far to another house that she was familiar with,” her owner said, in a video posted on YouTube.
Six days after the distraught dog owner lost his beloved hound he got word that she was at a friend’s house and rode his motorbike over to get her back.
The moment the dog hears her owner’s motorcycle pull into the driveway, she immediately comes dashing toward him.
You can hear the dog crying as the owner gives her all the love and kisses.
