It’s unbelievable how people can be cruel to animals. Hurting an innocent creature is the lowest of the low, but it often goes unpunished and abusers think they can get away with it.
But now investigators are calling on a search for one abuser, the subject of a heartbreaking video that shows him slapping a defenseless dog.
In the video—reportedly filmed somewhere in the UK, based on the license plates—a dog is seen sticking his head out the window of a parked car.
It’s not known who owns the dog. But a man, apparently with a friend working the camera, decides to mess with the dog.
Laughing, he holds his hand out in front of the dog…
And then, out of nowhere, this heartless man slaps the dog in the face.
A second dog in the car, sensing that his friend is being attacked, leaps to his defense, barking at the man.
But the man and his friend just laugh and run off.
It’s an upsetting act of cruelty that has attracted the concern of the RSPCA, who have launched an investigation.
“We’d like to check that this dog is okay and gather some more information about him and what happened here,” RSPCA Chief Inspector Tony Pritchard said, according to the Daily Mail.
“We’re also appealing to the public to get in touch with us if they recognize the culprit in the video.”
It’s deeply upsetting to see someone strike a dog like this—we can’t let him get away with it.
