Sometimes animals get themselves stuck in some pretty tricky places and need a little human help getting free.
That was the case recently after a scared young kitten became trapped in the frame of a truck — but thankfully she’s safe and sound now after being rescued.
According to a Facebook post from the San Diego Humane Society, a truck driver found the 8-week-old black-and-white kitten trapped by the jaw in the frame of the vehicle.
The poor cat looked terrified — but thankfully help was soon on the way.
The driver reached out to San Diego Humane Society. Their veterinary team soon showed up on the scene and began working to safely extract the kitten from the frame.
“After sedating the kitten, they patiently used Q-tips to dislodge her head and free her from the tight spot,” San Diego Humane Society wrote.
After safely getting the kitten unstuck, they transported her to their local campus and gave her pain medication, antibiotics and a much-needed meal.
“We are delighted that the kitten is now safe,” San Diego Humane wrote, thanking both the truck driver and their veterinary and Humane Law Enforcement teams for their “exceptional efforts” in saving her.
The poor kitten – we’re so glad she’s safe now! Thank you to everyone who helped save her!
