Some cats are more overweight than others, but these “chonky” cats still have a place in our hearts and deserve loving homes, with families who can help them focus on their fitness goals.
Now, one Wisconsin shelter is trying to find a home for their “big handsome boy,” a loving and plus-sized cat named Echo.
The Oshkosh Area Humane Society, in Wisconsin, recently shared a post about a gray-and-white domestic short hair cat named Echo, who they described as an “XL cat with an XL personality.”
It’s clear from the photos that Echo is a hefty cat who will need to shed a few pounds to stay healthy, but the shelter described him as a loving, affectionate and eccentric cat.
“Our cats know the real problems humans have to face everyday. Like flying chairs. You just never know when a chair is going to just lift right off the ground on its own accord and move clear across the room,” the shelter wrote on Facebook. “Echo understands. Which is why he’s fighting flying chairs one paw at a time. Don’t worry, humans. Echo’s got your back. And your behind.”
According to his adoption page, the 7-year-old cat had a previous family that “loved him very much” but were no longer able to care for him and surrendered him to OAHS.
He’s described as a couch potato who loves to watch TV. Though he would like a quiet and relaxing home, he would also do best in a family who could provide a healthy diet and active lifestyle to help Echo get back into shape.
If you are interested in adopting Echo, you can find more information on his adoption page, and pay a visit to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society during their visiting hours to meet Echo.
We hope this big beautiful cat finds his forever home soon! Please share this story to help Echo find the perfect family! ❤️
