Man brings home orphaned kitten to help wife who had a miscarriage

We all love and appreciate our pets for the unconditional love and companionship they give us but pets can also help heal us.

A study carried out in 2015 found that cats can sense our emotions and tell when we are happy.

One cat who had lost her mommy could also sense when her human companion needed love too and helped her through a crisis in her life when nothing else seemed to work.

The woman’s husband took to Imgur to talk about the amazing reaction his wife had when he brought an orphaned kitty home.

His wife had suffered a miscarriage and two months after she was still desperately unhappy; one day he had an idea that might just turn things around for his wife.

“My wife recently had a miscarriage. After two months of trying to make her feel better with no success, I found a kitten with no mommy. I saw that a shelter in another town had brought this little girl in after her mother was killed,” he wrote on Imgur.

“Her face and her eyes just brought a calmness over me and I thought she might make my wife feel the same.”

The man had driven for two hours to pick up the cat and she had stayed on his lap the whole way home.

As soon as Callie the calico cat was introduced to his wife her spirits were lifted.

“The wife was super pumped when I brought her through the front door. We have had her for 5 days now and I haven’t seen my wife this happy in a long time,” the happy husband wrote.

“She and Callie bonded immediately. Callie is constantly snuggled up to her momma and sleeps tucked up to her stomach at night.”

It seems these two were brought together when they needed each other most and Callie brought a new joy to the household after the tragedy that this couple had been through.

But the story doesn’t end there.

“This morning I was cleaning the litter box and got a tap on the shoulder. When I turned around, my wife had this pregnancy test and the biggest smile on her face,” the husband wrote. “Little Callie is going to be a sister!”

What a wonderful story that illustrates perfectly how much we need animals in our lives; they give us so much.

Please share to wish this family of three all the happiness with their new bundle of joy.
