It takes a special kind of person to take in and care for a stray animal, especially when it isn’t convenient.
But one kindly driver made it a mission to help out a homeless kitten, even if it meant dealing with his allergies and some aggressively loud snoring.
A man named Matt shared his story on Reddit. He found a kitten in the “middle of a busy street.” It was in an area surrounded by woods, and he concluded that the kitten must’ve either been left behind by her mother or abandoned by someone. He scooped up the stray cat and took her in.
He took her to the vet the next day to get rid of her fleas. On the ride home, the kitten fell asleep in his truck… where he discovered that despite her little size, this cat “snores as loud as a train.”
But he let the poor thing have a nice long cat nap: “I didn’t have the heart to wake her up when I got home,” Matt wrote. “So I just sat there quietly with the radio off for about an hour until she woke up.”
While Matt did a great job thoughtfully caring for this homeless cat, he couldn’t take her in as his pet due to his strong allergies.
Still, he resolved to finding the stray the best home possible.
“I actually interviewed two people who wanted her and told the first person no because the living situation didn’t sound like it would be good for her,” he wrote.
In the end, he found her a perfect new home with a “nice lady” who has a rescue cat.
Thank you to this man for helping out this stray kitten and helping her find a new home!
