Everyone who has grown up with a dog knows just how dear these members of our family are. Children in particular can get very attached to their pets and love them as their siblings.
That was the case for this little boy and his beloved dog Kase.
But one day his beloved dog ran away. It was a couple of weeks before Christmas last year, and the boy was crushed. Instead of looking forward to Christmas presents and fun with the family, he spent every minute looking and thinking about his dog.
The weeks went by and Kase remained missing.
When the dog had been missing for a month, the family began to lose hope. Perhaps he had been hit by a car or injured in some other way. Perhaps they would never see him again.
But suddenly one day, the little boy’s mom saw a familiar dog in one of their neighbors’ yards. It was Kase, alive and well!
After joyfully hugging her dog, she brought him over to some other family members – including her son.
She left Kase in the car, shouting out to him: “I have a surprise to you.”
When the boy saw Kase, he looked shocked for a few seconds. Then the tears flowed, and the two friends reunited with a big hug.
