Emaciated & depressed senior dog found alone with parts of his coat missing

If you have a dog or have ever owned a dog, then you know how loyal a friend they can be.

They never leave your side, they’re a shoulder to cry on, and they seem to instinctively understand whatever mood you’re in.

For example, you can look into your pet’s eyes and instantly tell their mood.

So take a look at Ray’s eyes. Are these the eyes of a happy dog? No. They are crusty.

This senior Labrador retriever knows he has been abandoned and his family will never try to find him.

Sadly, Ray, this 8-year-old Labrador retriever was left behind by his family in 2017.

You can’t see it in this photo above, but Ray is also very thin, and has patches of fur missing.

Worried people found him when Ray was walking alone in Torrance, California searching for food.

”This beautiful soul was found in Torrance, Ca and looks like he has been alone for quite awhile. He is skinny, missing hair, has crusty eyes but he has the sweetest energy of any dog you will meet and he needs help fast, before he gets sick,” Saving Carson Shelter Dogs wrote on their Facebook page.

But despite all that, Ray loved humans.

All he wanted was a family to love.

Some kind animal lovers took Ray to Carson Animal Care Center, but were there anyone willing to adopted him?

It took a while, but soon a family gave him a forever home!

A dog is a lifetime commitment. Do not take a dog if you don’t intend to see them thru to the end….Senior dogs are the best!

So sickened that people can do this to a member of their family, but so thankful to God he was found a replacement family.

I wish for them much love together – share this story on Facebook if you agree!
