Janitor finds abandoned puppy at school – sees handwritten note that crushes my heart

One night last December, a janitor in Detroit was cleaning the halls at the school he works at. Then suddenly, he heard a knock on the door. He looked out the window and saw a little boy running away from the door. The janitor went to the door and when he opened it, he couldn’t believe his eyes.

Outside the door there was a small puppy in a cardboard box, all alone.

This was written on the side of the box:

“Sorry, it didn’t have a home and it was cold so we are going to give it to you. Please do let it go find it a nice home. – Thank you”

The janitor was touched by the message and quickly contacted a teacher at the school who loves dogs. The teacher brought the puppy home and dubbed it Snowflake.

She couldn’t keep Snowflake forever, but she was determined to make sure the puppy would have a safe and loving home.

The teacher contacted a local animal welfare organization called Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue, and they agreed to take care of the puppy. They took in Snowflake and brought her to the vet, where she received was examined and vaccinated.

After Snowflake was given a clean bill of health, the search for a new home for her began. And just before Christmas on 21st December, she found the perfect family.

Snowflake loves her new owner and her big sister. Now she’s feeling great and I’m forever grateful to everyone who helped her find her new home.
