There are studies that show kids with pets are better off, whether it be a pet rattle snake, a rat or a lovable furry hound, having an animal companion as a kid is a bonus.
According to the results of 22 tests cited by Psychology Today, having a pet is good for a child because it can reduce stress, provide social support and companionship and even help teach them communication skills.
Results from the California Health Interview Survey even showed that those kids aged between 5 and 11 who had a dog or a cat at home generally were healthier, more obedient, less moody and had fewer behavioral and learning issues.
Child’s best friend
Now if that isn’t a reason to support your child growing up with a furry friend, I don’t know what is – apart from the following video which shows the cutest interactions between children and their dogs.
In one of the clips a toddler naps peacefully when the nose of his four-legged friend peeks out beside him.
And getting off the bus after a hard day at school is all forgotten if you had this adorable hound running toward you.
They also offer the best company while spending a day at the park showing how much they love copying their humans, so they don’t miss out on the fun.
They also give the best hugs for their human friends who receive loyalty and unconditional love. Where would we be without them?
Watch more adorable interactions in the clip below and don’t forget to share with all your friends if you too loved this video.
