There are many who say that living well is the best revenge. That’s especially true for rescue dogs, who often overcome neglect and abandonment and thrive after getting a second chance.
That’s what one dog’s inspiring journey shows — he’s thriving and has a message to the person who abandoned him: “Look at me now.”
Nova, a staffy, was thrown away in a dumpster. He was found with an infected leg, which had to be amputated.
But soon, Nova found a perfect family with a couple who love him just the way he is.
According to posts on TikTok, Nova, understandably still dealing with some trauma, was so scared that he would always hide under the bed.
But his owner made him his own bed, and now he sleeps comfortably and enjoys belly rubs.
Things worked out great for Nova, and all the videos of him settling in well in his new home serve as “revenge” against the person who cruelly abandoned him.
“I am so happy and bring so much joy,” the TikTok reads, as if from the voice of Nova. “See all that you are missing out on?“
“Despite my trauma, I sleep peacefully in a home with people who love me.”
“To whoever put me in a dumpster to be thrown away, look at what just happened to me…” another post reads.
“Dad bought me a matching quilt for my own bed.”
Another video shows the close bond Nova has formed with the family’s other dog, Omar, described as his “bff, mentor and pillow.”

It’s heartbreaking that anyone would abandon a sweet dog like Nova in the dumpster, but we’re so glad he’s found an amazing new home and is living his best life ❤️
