Three starving German Shepherd puppies were left in dumpster, rescued by Good Samaritan

It’s unbelievable that anyone would abandon a puppy and leave them for dead, but some people literally treat their animals like trash. Recently, one woman got a heartbreaking sight after finding three puppies abandoned in a dumpster.

But now, these dogs are getting a new start…

On September 1, an employee at a business park in San Dimas, California heard the sound of crying from a dumpster. Inside, he discovered three German Shepherd puppies among the trash. The dogs were reportedly “hot and hungry.”

The employee was unable to take the dogs in himself, as he reportedly lives in a motel and doesn’t have transportation, and animal control was not open. A woman named Linda Denise Valdez shared the story in a local lost and found pets Facebook group, hoping to find a foster or rescue willing to take the pups in.

Carolyn Castro, an admin of the group, responded and picked up the dogs from the scene. She brought them to a vet for medical attention; the dogs were not microchipped.

It’s not clear who abandoned these dogs or where they came from. Castro wrote that she was reaching out to nearby businesses trying to get surveillance camera footage. She also wrote that it was unclear if the pups were “stolen and dumped” or “just dumped by a piece of s**t.”

According to KTLA, Castro is working with the local rescue Big Dog Haven to nurse the dogs back to health and hopefully find them new homes soon.

It’s unthinkable that anyone would abandon these beautiful German Shepherd puppies in a dumpster and leave them to suffer, but we’re glad they were found and hope they are adopted to great homes soon!
