When Banu Cengiz noticed a dog standing outside the door of the pharmacy where she works, she knew something was wrong — and she was right.
As she told The Dodo, she realized the dog was bleeding due to a small cut on his paw, and she sprang to the rescue, as you can see in this all-too-sweet video provided below.

“When I was done, she laid down as if to thank me,” Cengiz told The Dodo. “She was saying, ‘I trust you.'”
Cengiz, who lives and works in Turkey, is no novice at helping animals, as The Dodo reported.
Not only did she rescue a dog of her own, but she also keeps up the storefront of her pharmacy to make it welcoming for other street dogs who don’t have a forever home to go to.
After cleaning up this particular pup’s injury, Cengiz let the dog stay at the pharmacy for the rest of the day, for some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Sadly, at the end of the work day, Cengiz and her furry patient had to part ways, with the dog going back out onto the streets.
“Unfortunately, I couldn’t take her home,” Cengiz told The Dodo. “I’ve been dealing with street animals for years. I feed them and heal them, and help them find homes when I can.”
“I do it because they feel. We need to help those who need it,” she said. “People should teach their children to love and respect animals and nature. Then we can all live together in a beautiful world.”
