Everyone’s favorite conservationist dropped some very exciting news on Instagram this morning.
Bindi Irwin is pregnant!
Irwin, who married her longtime boyfriend Chandler Powell in March, announced that she and her husband are expecting their “baby wildlife warrior” in 2021.
The 22-year-old is reportedly in her first trimester and vowed to take fans along for the ride.
“It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you,” she wrote. “Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter.”
While Irwin hasn’t given any hints that she and her husband would pay tribute to her late father Steve Irwin when the baby is born, many are wondering, especially because at her wedding she lit a candle in her father’s memory.
Powell also announced the happy news on his Instagram, stating that “becoming a dad is the highlight of my life.”
Terri Irwin also shared the exciting news on Twitter, saying “This is the best day ever!”
“Words cannot express the love that is filling my heart. While I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud,” she wrote.
In her announcement, Bindi thanked fans for their support and asked for the best advice, good vibes, and prayers.
Congratulations Bindi and Chandler! You two will make absolutely wonderful parents.
