If you’re an animal lover getting married, it can be fun to include some furry friends in your wedding.
But while most people would agree having your beloved dog at the altar is a cute idea, it sounds less appealing to invite, say, a pack of raccoons.
But for one couple, these wild animals stole the show at their wedding photoshoot and made it a truly unforgettable moment.
A couple named Sarah and Zach were getting married in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, and hired photographer Kathryn White for a shoot.
But their glamorous photoshoot was interrupted by some very unexpected little party crashers: a pack of raccoons!
It caught everyone off guard: raccoons aren’t usually the most welcome guests, especially during the daytime.
“I was freaked out at first, because they’re usually vicious and don’t hang out in the daytime,” Kathryn White wrote on Facebook.
But soon it became clear that these raccoons weren’t dangerous—just curious onlookers checking out the photoshoot.
“Apparently city raccoons are super used to people, and just wanted to get in on some of the portraits!”
Kathryn got some funny photos of the raccoons approaching the couple. The raccoons, as if realizing they were interrupting the couple’s moment, soon went on their way and headed on down the path.
The party had a good laugh about the whole thing, deciding that it was a “good omen” and “one of those moments I’ll never forget.”
“We laughed at the randomness of it all… I mean, what are the chances?” Kathryn told Bored Panda.
And luckily, the bride-to-be didn’t mind being upstaged by the pack… in fact, it made her feel like a real princess:
“I’m one singing-bird-on-the-shoulder away from Disney Princess status now, I think,” Sarah joked on Instagram.
And isn’t that how everyone wants to feel on their wedding day? Maybe these raccoons gave her the greatest gift of all.
